This children’s ride was manufactured in the style of a fighter jet by BAFCO of Alford, England, in the 1980s and was later refurbished by Big Boy Toys of Oklahoma in 2024. The ride features gray fiberglass bodywork atop a matching base, and motion is provided by a coin-operated electric motor. Additional features include wings, vertical and horizontal stabilizers, faux flight instruments, orange exhaust-style lights, a padded black seat, a control stick, and a speaker system that plays simulated machine gun noises. This jet fighter-style children’s ride was purchased by the seller in 2024 and is now offered at no reserve in Seekonk, Massachusetts, with a bill of sale.
The fighter jet-style fiberglass bodywork was stripped and refurbished by Big Boy Toys of Oklahoma in 2024 and is painted gray. It is adorned with US Airforce insignias and G.I. Joe graphics, while additional features include wings, horizontal and vertical stabilizers, orange lights simulating exhaust afterburners, and a black-finished nose cone, cockpit canopy, and underside.
The cockpit features a black-finished floor and side panels, along with a single padded seat trimmed in black. A faux control stick is mounted in the center and fitted with silver buttons to activate simulated machine gun firing sounds while the ride is in operation.
Faux flight instrument decals are affixed to the front panel of the cockpit.
The ride features a refinished coin-operated mechanism that shows a 10-cent charge per ride. The ride can also be activated manually via the control box.
The base was refinished in gray during the refurbishment, and “G.I Joe Action Pilot” graphics were applied at that time. A replacement step plate was also installed. Power comes from an electric motor that is wired with a replacement 100-volt power cord. Caster wheels are fitted to the base.
