This 2011 Tesla Roadster was acquired by the seller in 2017 and was subsequently fitted with the R80 3.0 retrofit package in 2023, which added an uprated 80-kWh battery pack. Power is provided by a three-phase AC induction motor linked with a direct-drive single-speed transmission. The Tesla Roadster was based on the aluminum tub from the contemporary Lotus Elise, with which it shared its windshield and windshield frame.
